Key Responsibilities
The Head of Partnerships & Business Development will be responsible for unlocking partnerships, developing and maintaining relationships and representing the Hub publicly, leading on tracking/reporting outcomes, securing and managing the Hub's budget and operations and working as part of the management team. The main objective is to drive market growth and lead sales & partnerships with full accountability to deliver revenue. This is a critical, impactful and highly rewarding role:
Manage and lead program-related strategic partnerships with Donors, Academia,
Venture Capital firms, IDAs, INGOs, Financial Institutions, Private and Public firms,
Start-ups and Government Agencies (strong ecosystem actors). Manage relationships to
ensure optimal program performance and quality assurance.
Lead business development by identifying opportunities, grant writing and submission,
expression of interests, writing of bids/proposals and speaking credibly to
donors/partners/clients.
Management of the cycle from solicitation, evaluation, agreement, monitoring and
closeout.
Identify and explore new partnerships, including the updating of the partnership mapping
and establishing relationships for collaboration.
Build and strengthen contacts within granting agencies and organizations to obtain
information on planned grants opportunities.
Review existing partnering resources and identify additional needs to support capacity
assessment, monitoring, compliance/vetting, project cycle management etc.
Ensuring customers satisfaction, exceeding targets, generating income, and providing
value for clients. Accordingly, she/he will have well-developed contacts at senior levels in
the education, technology and innovation and development sector.
The person will manage the strategic and tactical direction of our online and offline
marketing efforts to drive growth targets through strategic partnerships, data-driven
marketing, demand generation campaigns, and service positioning.
Acting as the lead point of contact for the Hub for stakeholders in Government or other
Networks, Corporates, and startups.
Manage overall grant efforts, optimize the grant administration process. Submit grant
proposals, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, managing grant databases on
both local and international scales.
Create mutually beneficial partnerships within and outside of the startup ecosystem,
improving and growing the business, through strategically positioning Seedbuilders
offerings by fostering and developing relationships with our clients and partners.
Evaluate and pursue opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and collaboration on
an ongoing basis within the ecosystem
Maintains and builds strong relationships with a wide range of donors, and proactively
develops and delivers upon a robust pipeline of new program opportunities to grow the
organisations
Plans for and monitors internal actions related to stakeholder communications and
ensures timely follow-up communication
What We're Looking For
Educational background in technology and/or business-related field, with an
understanding of business principles, practices, and methodologies.
Preferably with 7+years of working experience in Business development/ strategic
partnerships Management or any other related line of work.
Understanding of the technology, consulting, capacity building, social impact,
development, not for profit and startup ecosystem
Strong networking skills to actively be involved with partners and donors
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to
detail.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and research skillsbility to deliver revenue. This is a critical, impactful and highly rewarding role:
