The Programs Officer will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and implementation of key projects aligned with the organization’s mission. This position requires a proactive individual to oversee program activities, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with organizational goals and donor requirements. The Programs Officer will work with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders, to foster partnerships and ensure successful program delivery. By supporting capacity-building initiatives and ensuring financial and administrative efficiency, the Programs Officer will contribute to the organization’s overall growth and long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
The Programs Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects and programs to ensure they meet organizational goals and objectives. They work closely with stakeholders, monitor progress, and evaluate program impact while ensuring compliance with policies and donor requirements.
Develop and implement program activities in line with organizational objectives.
Assist in designing project proposals and funding applications.
Support the execution of program activities, ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
Work with cross-functional teams to achieve program success.
Track project progress and ensure activities align with set goals.
Collect and analyze data for reporting and decision-making.
Prepare regular reports for management, donors, and stakeholders.
Recommend improvements to enhance program efficiency and impact.
Organize workshops, training, and awareness campaigns.
Provide technical support to staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and community leaders.
Build and manage communication, engagement, and partnerships with relevant
stakeholders such as trainees, facilitators, organizations, and donor partners.
Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and networking events.
Assist in budget planning and ensure proper financial tracking of program
activities.
Maintain proper documentation of program activities, including financial records.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external donor regulations.
Develop educational materials and resources for program implementation.
What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project
Management, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in program management, project coordination, or a
similar role.
We are looking for a dynamic, well-networked leader with a track knowledge of
the digital technology and innovation ecosystem, ICT skills training, corporate
training, programs development/management, international development, and
the human capacity development scene within Nigeria. Project Management
certification is an added advantage. Proven experience as a Program Officer is
essential, as well as experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) tools.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Adaptability and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
